Hawkes and Forman created this giant heart installation, in collaboration with Omarek, for a summer wedding last year. Golf ball bulbs line the edge of the heart, which was free standing and bespoke designed to fit in the wedding marquee. Hawkes and Forman recently created every aspect of this Palace Garden scheme for Laura Ashley’s top 9 stores. We created giant blades of grass, oversized ladybirds and butterflies in Laura Ashley fashion and home prints, and window decals. We installed the scheme in the Westfield flagship and for this store we also designed and created the french door vinyl and covered brick effect wallpaper in hundreds of artificial flowers. Other stores received a printed version, also artworked by ourselves.
Hawkes and Forman created these bow head pieces for Miss Selfridge S/S windows in their Oxford Circus flagship, top 8 stores across the UK and 7 international stores
To run alongside the dovecote displays we designed and created these bird houses and bird baths for The Little White Company stores across the UK.
Hawkes and Forman designed and created these dovecotes and bird baths for 30 White Company stores across the UK.
Laura Ashley Coastal. In the flagship Westfield White City store we created and installed a canopy of giant white sails, a half boat in each window, portholes, a ship’s wheel and wave graphics along the windows.
For the top 8 stores we produced printed sails in Laura Ashley home and fashion prints, these stores also had the wave window treatment.
Hawkes and Forman are in Liberty! We created these vintage style luggage pieces using Liberty designed fabric, which feature in the Christmas window display now.
Liberty asked us to design and create Dickensian style headpieces with a contemporary twist for their Christmas displays. From a range of designs we came up with they chose this cage bonnet. The design is inspired in part by the crinoline steel frame skirts Victorian ladies wore under dresses, which created the full skirted shape so popular at the time.
We created the bonnets in three finishes; black velvet, gold lame and white satin. Liberty chose to go ahead with black and gold for their in store displays. 30 bonnets feature across the mannequins on first floor.
To accompany the dresses we designed and made antique style wind up keys for the mannequins backs that stay in place with a magnet device we designed… no nylon required! We also made giant wind up keys, these went to the top 8 Miss Selfridge stores across the UK as well as Oxford Circus.
